AR AGHAIDH LINN
Our first official family day out in Galway brought us to the scenic village of Spiddal which lies on the shores of Galway Bay and on the eastern side of the Connemara region. We thoroughly enjoyed our stroll along the wheel-friendly promenade with the options to climb rocks and balance along small walls.
Even though the path is wide it runs parallel to the very busy main road so needless to say wandering kiddies need to be kept within safe distance. You’re in for a treat though as the panoramic views of Galway Bay and the Burren are truly stunning. There are a number of picnic benches located at the end of the promenade with some green space for toddlers to run free (ish). While the path to the village itself is very narrow, a small lane located beside the library brings you down to the harbour. A great little find indeed to while away your time exploring and watching all the comings and goings.Check out some more photos below.
