Buggy-friendly walks Clare – The Flaggy Shore

“So that the ocean on one side is wild
With foam and glitter, and inland among stones”

(Séamus Heaney)

Flaggy Shore 7

Location: Finvarra near New Quay, Co. Clare

Parking: Unmarked, along the seafront on the approach

Path: A half mile tarmac path a few small inclines – suitable for all wheel types. The coastal walk is linear but a looped walk is also an option (see map on site)

Facilities: None

Features: This area is a Geosite. Breathtaking views across Galway Bay. It’s beauty and wilderness inspired our very own Séamus Heaney  who’s poem ‘Postcript’ details a visit he made there.

A magical find in the banner county with a tarmac path along the coast making it very accessible indeed.
