A challenging buggy walk but the views are worth it!
If you are looking for a buggy-pushing challenge then this is the walk for you! The path is tarmacked but be warned it is a very steep hill from the bottom to the top. My calf muscles are still suffering but it was totally worth it. Needless to say it’s a fabulous feeling once you reach the top. There are no facilities other than car parking. We would advise parking as close to the start as you can, especially with small children and buggies in tow. The start is marked by a barrier and info boards. (see photos). It makes sense to visit this area when the sun is shining so you can really appreciate the views over Dublin city.
You can read more about Ticknock and get directions to it at the Coillte Outdoors website.
Dont forget to bring water as this one is a thirst quencher.
